Beginners and Special Needs
Many beginners and those with special needs find
Laura's classes and private sessions a safe and welcoming
entry into the practice of Yoga.

Special Needs
Before beginning a group class, please alert me to the
following special needs or any other concerns so that
I may help you adapt your practice appropriately.
- Immune dysfunction (read interview with Laura on
Yoga
and Chronic Fatigue)
- Mild to medium back, shoulder or neck pain; headaches
- Pregnancy, postpartum
- Bone or joint injury during healing phase
- High blood pressure
- Tendonitis or arthritis
- Osteoporosis
Avoid Yoga with Certain Injuries
For the following conditions, Yoga poses are
NOT recommended. Sleep, rest, massage, chiropractic,
or other therapies are preferred:
- Disc injury
- Current back spasm
- Recent surgery
- Fever
Consult with a Chiropractor or Doctor
For active sciatica or other nerve pain, see your chiropractor
before beginning Yoga. Please call if you have any other
questions about your particular situation in starting
a Yoga practice.
