Supporting the Physiological and Psychological
Needs of the Female Body

Yoga is a path towards total well-being that promotes
optimal functioning in all the systems of the body.
As we move into this balance as women we open to radiant
health and creative flourishing.
This workshop will address specific concerns related
to women's health and Yoga, including supporting hormonal
and other needs during menstruation, menopause, and
pregnancy; nurturing the body during autoimmune illness
and stress; generating a positive body image; and promoting
healthy bones and heart. Through lecture, Yoga practice,
and sharing, you will deepen your understanding of the
physiological and psychological needs of the female
body, and how to adapt your practice throughout your
life cycle. You will experience specific poses that
address specific concerns, and will learn the moon salutation,
a yoga-flow which stretches and strengthens the entire
body, tones the female reproductive system, and helps
us as women to feel our full power and beauty.
